TCL QM7L: Two-minute review

The TCL QM7L is difficult to review. Largely because it’s basically the same TV as the TCL QM8L we recently reviewed but at a cheaper price point with fewer dimming zones and lower peak brightness. Outside of that and the fact that it has a more limited version of Dolby Vision, it’s functionally the same.

If you were to put the two TVs side by side, you would probably be tempted to go for the TCL QM8L and shell out over the extra five hundred bucks, assuming you’re going for the 65-inch size.
